I’m a women’s concussion coach specializing in post-concussion recovery for women.
My mission is simple: to guide you back to feeling whole, vibrant, and fully yourself again while on your journey of healing your post-concussion syndrome (PCS).
Drawing from my personal experience and deep professional expertise, I’m here to walk beside you every step of the way.
A Personal Story:
from Darkness to Light
When my concussion hit, I was at the peak of my hospitality career—collaborating with Michelin-starred chefs and world-renowned wineries. On the outside, it looked like a dream, but inside something was missing. My heart yearned for a deeper purpose.
I wasn't ready to listen to that inner voice, so instead I pushed harder—until one too many snowboarding falls changed my life forever. Suddenly, I was in a dark room with blurred vision, nausea, and a profound sense of disconnection. It took two hospital visits and four weeks to accept reality: I had a concussion. At 30 years old, my life felt shattered.
My recovery wasn't optional. It wasn't about just returning to work; it was about preserving memories I hadn’t yet created - future birthdays, vacations, and stories my future children would tell me. When COVID-19 paused the world, my own silence deepened. Slowly, through many tears, lots of prayer and styles of meditation, I finally listened to my inner wisdom, I committed myself fully to healing from the inside out. Healing became my absolute priority.
Ironically, years earlier, I'd researched traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) with the Government of Canada, studying their psychological and social impacts extensively. Suddenly, I was living my own research. From that research, I knew I needed a holistic approach - not just medical protocols, but deep inner-healing guided by self-awareness, intuition, and trust.
I became the CEO of my own healing, building my team of healers and doctors, while reconnecting with the profound energetic wisdom within. Listening to the language of my body, I discovered that true healing from PCS isn't just about treating symptoms, it’s about realigning your life from within - learning to feel, listen, and trust my inner wisdom.
That wisdom changed everything.
It’s what saved me.
From this personal journey, Concussion Cate was born - not as a brand, but as a lifeline for women navigating their own invisible injuries and looking to deepen their connection to their own inner spirit and wisdom.

I spent years researching the relationship between traumatic brain injuries and adverse the adverse side effect of personal and social behaviours, providing deep insight into the long-term impacts of untreated concussions.

Graduating from Carleton University, I also had the privilege to teach 4 seamsters of 3rd year university-level psychology courses, fostering my passion for helping others learn and grow.

Understanding the profound brain-gut connection , I completed advanced training in New York, USA and Ottawa, CAN gaining expertise on diet's critical role in mental and physical well-being and supporting my comprehension of holistic recovery.

I specialize in Hatha, Yin, and Kundalini yoga, integrating somatics, breathwork and body movement to energetically empower women during their PCS recovery journeys.
